A wedding is coming up! And not just any wedding – my SON’S wedding! He is marrying a beautiful girl that he met in college and who played his love interest in Liberty’s production of “Phantom of the Opera”. Today, as actors who love the Lord, they have the great privilege of working at Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA, which is currently running the incredible production of MOSES. But August 17 is the day that the two of them will become one. What a celebration!
Reminds me, on a slightly different scale, of the great celebration we will have when time is no more.
Several years ago I read a money management book by a man named Ron Blue. He said that the longer our perspective, the better the decisions we will make. I have found that principle to be true through the years. And of course, the ultimate long-term perspective is heaven!
If we keep our future home in mind, it will help us make better decisions now. I am looking forward to heaven, but – don’t get me wrong – I’m not planning to hasten my arrival! It’s just nice to have security in that final destination.
All of us are in the process of making some kind of decision. What’s yours? The answer is found in a long term perspective!
