As a kid I loved doing “connect the dots” puzzles. Before starting, sometimes I would have a good idea of what the image would be and some other times I couldn’t tell until nearly all the dots were connected.

After some time and work toward completion, the image would begin to appear. It was a step-by-step process.
As a Christ-follower, my life sometimes feels like a “connect the dots” exercise. Looking back over my life I can see that God was up to something. Today, all I can do is wait for the next step…or dot, if you will.
Even though I don’t know the next step, I already know what the finished image is: JESUS! God is in the process of making me like His Son. We all get there by different “dots” but every true believer can rest in the fact that God has everything under control and is molding us into the likeness of Christ.
How’s that for encouragement!
“But all of us who are Christians have no veils on our faces, but reflect like mirrors the glory of the Lord. We are transfigured by the Spirit of the Lord in ever-increasing splendour into his own image.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
