It’s fun to play on sand dunes!
Surrounded by miles of sand hills encourages all sorts of activity such as trying to run down a hill without falling or attempting to tag someone as “it” or simply standing on top of a dune and admiring the Creator.
Funny thing about sand dunes: they shift. Over time, the sandy landscape can completely change due to currents of wind. If you return to a place that you visited a year ago it probably will look completely different than it did before. That’s the nature…and the interest…in noticing sand dunes take new shape over time.
My life is not filled with sand hills but there are definitely new shapes taking place. The winds of time have surrounded me with new landscapes and opportunities. I hear the Lord saying, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? (Isaiah 43:19) If not for the presence of the Lord, I would be shaken in my spirit! But through it all, whether familiar or non, He is with me. “Because He is at my right hand I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8)
“Thank you, Lord, for being constant when all around me is changing!”
