10 standards for living

In this day of relativism and humanism, what are the expectations for believers? Psalm 15 has a few things to say to us about right living:

  1. Do what is right.
  2. Speak truth.
  3. Do not slander anyone.
  4. Do not do evil to anyone.
  5. Never harm your neighbor.
  6. Speak out against sin.
  7. Honor those who fear the Lord.
  8. Keep a promise even if it hurts.
  9. Do not charge crazy-high interest rates when loaning money.
  10. Don’t accept a bribe against an innocent person.

So…this affects my daily actions, who gets my vote for President, the choosing of close friends, how to respond to work associates and much more – if I want to stay in close fellowship with my Lord.

“Lord, I want to THINK right, BE right, DO right!”

Through the years I have enjoyed serving local churches in the areas of music and worship. It has been a great ride! Currently, I have the privilege of serving with the good people of West Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. It is a terrific church family where God is doing a unique and powerful work.
