Were you born on the 8th of the month?
In our family we tag each person with the Psalm that correlates with their birthday. For instance: born on the 1st, yours would be Psalm 1. Born on the 12th, yours would be Psalm 12. and so on.
This post is being written on March 8 therefore today’s Psalm is Psalm 8…which is a great Psalm! It begins and ends with:
“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!”
My favorite choir anthem was written based on this Psalm – “The Majesty and Glory of Your Name” by Linda Johnson and Tom Fettke.
Of course, no song is big enough to adequately express or describe God’s bigness. One of these days we will get to experience it firsthand! But until then, I am thankful for the way God uses writers, preachers, teachers, composers and others to help our finite minds see a bit of His glory!
