One thing is certain…God still speaks!

God takes the initiative in my walk with Him. I didn’t find God, He found me! And when I learn something from Him during these days, it is not because I am so smart and figured things out. It is because He is gracious and reveals Himself and His ways to me.

As I look back on my spiritual walk I can see many “Aha!” moments where He moved in amazing ways. It was His revelation…not my ingenuity. And usually came when I was not suspecting it!

Psalm 19 speaks of two ways that God reveals Himself to me. (1) General, and (2) Specific. “General” refers to the beauty of God’s creation which is constantly telling of God’s presence. “Specific” refers to God’s Word which is full of His principles for living and for connecting in a personal relationship with Him.

Through the years I have enjoyed serving local churches in the areas of music and worship. It has been a great ride! Currently, I have the privilege of serving with the good people of West Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. It is a terrific church family where God is doing a unique and powerful work.
