As a kid I remember my mom doing exercises in front of the TV with a TV instructor named Jack LaLanne. Not sure how much it helped Mom but Jack sure went on the be quite an exercise guru!

When playing sports in public school we always had to do exercises before starting all the fun stuff… just to make sure our bodies were ready for the work-out.

In choirs, we did vocal exercises to get our voices in shape at the beginning of each rehearsal. It helped us sound our best while singing without hurting anything inside our throats!

Exercise is a really good thing. But I have a confession…I don’t like to exercise!

However, when it comes to spiritual growth I have found that my morning exercise of reading God’s Word makes a dramatic difference in the flow of my day.  And when my faith is exercised, it strengthens my walk in Him. Exercise builds strength and gets one prepared for the activity to follow.

So I will keep doing my morning exercises and trust the Trainer to get me ready for what’s ahead!
