Several years ago I came close to accepting a call to join a church staff in Phoenix, Arizona.
This was B.C. (before children) and I sometimes wonder how my life – our lives – would have been different than the path we’ve been on. We would have been a west coast family instead of experiencing life on the east coast.
We would have missed friendships with hundreds of people of the churches where we have served in Texas, Georgia and Virginia.
Our two children, Hannah and Caleb, would very probably have attended schools other that Liberty University and married people other than their current spouses. And grandkids? We would not have our precious Eden and Emmie. Unimaginable!
But, of course, God has taken us on a remarkable journey over the past many years…for which I am very thankful.
Along the way there have been many times of “soul searching” when seeking God’s personal path for our family. Each time, He affirmed and confirmed the choices made. After making a decision our intent was to move forward in Him and not look back.
One day I heard Charles Stanley make the statement, “Second guessing God is endless anxiety.” That is so true! Once getting a word from the Lord, I can trust Him to make a way!
Onward we go!
