Soon after the turn into the 20th century, a man proudly purchased a new Model-T Ford. He was delighted to have one of these “horse substitutes” that put him in the category of people on the cutting edge of society.
But one day as he was driving along the main street of town his automobile died and would not restart. He checked under the hood to see if he could detect the problem but, try as he might, he could not solve the problem to get his car going again.
He spent quite a while in the struggle.
Eventually another man came along in another Model-T…and stopped to offer help to the troubled man. Within a couple of minutes he had the car’s engine purring again ready to continue the journey.
“How did you get the car started so quickly!?”, asked the car’s owner.
“Well, my name is Henry Ford and I built that car. I immediately knew what the problem was and how to solve it”, the man answered.
This little story is a great reminder of my Creator’s ability to deal with my struggles. I can trust Him to handle my problems. He knows me better than I know myself!
