Our recent move was a great picture of the church in action.
The plan was to have professional movers come on moving morning and move the baby grand piano and all the big pieces of furniture. Then people from our church would come that afternoon to move boxes and smaller pieces of furniture via a U-Haul truck.
What a contrast!
The “pros” took much longer than expected due to inexperience at moving a piano and “figuring out” how to move some other things. Questionable attitudes. Increased cost. Disappointment.
The church people were awesome! They showed up with happy hearts, eager energies and great attitudes. They moved things into and out of the truck in unbelievably super time! No cost. Extreme satisfaction.
That’s how the church was meant to function. Helping one another from the gifts God granted. Giving from happy hearts.
I am so glad to be a member of a church that puts emphasis on helping one another. A true picture of the church in action.
