A popular TV series on AMC is called The Walking Dead.
The Walking Dead concerns events in a post-apocalyptic world where dead people are raised as zombies – also called walkers – and search for survivors (live people) to munch on. They gain life from the living. Humans that they bite or scratch become infected and slowly turn into walkers as well.
I confess to having never watched an episode of this series. Watching the movies, Zombieland and I Am Legend, was enough zombie activity for me.
Interestingly, there is a contrast between the real world of Christianity and the fake world of zombies.
Christ followers find life through One who died and zombies find life from those who live. Zombies take life. Believers share life. Zombies live by sight. Believers live by faith. Zombies infect the living to cause their death. Christians “infect” others to give them life. Zombies die by removing their brains. Christians live by renewing their hearts.
No, I am not a fan of zombies. I prefer to live among the living and thankful to the One who gives life!
