Don’t fall

There are different types of Fall:

The seasonal – Fall is in the air.
The spiritual – Fall of man.
The theological – Fall from grace.
The social – Fall for someone.
The physical – Fall down.
The meteorological – Fall of temperature
The financial – Fall of the stock market
The musical – Fall of pitch

On our Regent campus, this season of fall is a beautiful thing. Our
many trees are shedding the leaves that have turned colors from green to brown/rust/orange/red/yellow. They have moved from the tree branches to the tree shadows.

Without FALL life would become monotonous…maybe even boring. FALL  represents change. Whether it is in the financial district, an orchestral piece of music or skinned knees, FALL brings change.

I am most grateful for the theological reality that, once saved, one cannot FALL from His grace. I once heard someone say, “We can’t fall through God’s fingers. We ARE God’s fingers!” When I was saved by the grace of God, I became part of His body. He will not amputate any member of His body but will welcome each part and put it to good use. It is a privilege and a joy to stand with Him.

The person who stands for nothing will FALL for anything!
