Some people believe that when elephants are about to die they go to a particular dying place. Sort of like a graveyard for elephants. Researchers have found areas where elephant skeletons have collected at the ends of their lives.
The difference between graveyards and boneyards has to do with the placement of the bones. A graveyard is full of bones buried under ground. But a boneyard has bones exposed above ground for interested people to observe or study.
When I have dreams that die I have a tendency to leave the “bones” exposed on top of the ground rather than burying them in the ground. This way I can go back and relive the past possibilities…and play the “What if ?” game. Only problem is…God doesn’t want me to dwell on past possibilities but future certainties.
As God’s Word says, “To everything there is a season.” And when a season ends, a new season begins.
It’s best that I avoid the boneyeard of disappointments altogether. Better yet, I’ll go get my shovel.

Very well stated, and let’s leave ’em buried!
