Dog on a leash

This morning I saw a man walking his dog across the Wal-Mart parking lot. It was a terrific picture of security at the hand of the owner.

The dog was very calm and content walking across a potentially dangerous area because he was on the leash of an owner who, obviously, loved his animal. He would take every precaution to keep his pet safe. The dog had complete trust in its owner.

Why can’t I feel this same kind of peace at the hand of MY Owner?

It’s easy to trust the Lord during good times but more difficult when walking through dangerous territory.

I know my Owner loves me and wants the very best for me. He is my Protector and Provider. So why do, at times, I feel insecure or alone? At those time I must remember that, concerning my doubts, it’s not Him – it’s me! He is with me – loving, guiding, providing, encouraging – though I may not recognize it.

The most REAL things in life are the things that cannot be seen. The reality of God’s presence is an incredible thing. So glad I am “leashed” to Him!
