I recently made a trip to our local landfill – or more commonly know as the “dump.”
It’s a place where people discard trash, unwanted or broken items, yard debris and anything else that they just need to get rid of.
It was interesting to note that the roads going through the dump were very bumpy. There were ruts and dips and gullies caused by many other drivers, dump trucks, machinery and bad weather among other things.
When I experience “bumpy roads” in life, I need to look around for the “dump”. As I run a sin-check though my life, is there anything that needs to be placed in the spiritual dump – that is to be confessed to my Heavenly Father and left with Him?
Smooth roads are much more enjoyable to ride on with less wear and tear on my “vehicle”.
