Concerning risk, you hear statements all the time such as,
“I risk getting Covid-19”,
or
“I risk getting a failing grade”, or
“I risk getting a speeding ticket”,
or …
Risk is what we call it when taking a chance. Doing a certain thing may have a very bad result. However, doing that certain thing may also have a very good result.
It seems that nothing great ever happened without taking a risk.
Our pastor recently told the staff that we have permission to fail. What did he mean by that? He meant that if something doesn’t go well as planned, we will not be fired but will learn from the experience.
Some people believe that trusting God is a risk. I disagree.
For the Christian, once God speaks and gives direction for something, He can be trusted to deliver. There is no risk when following God. Of course, it will need to be accompanied with a spirit of faith and humility.
So…what is it that God has asked you to do? Go for it! You can trust Him.
