Fun along the way

Over the weekend, my wife and I enjoyed a couple of unusual activities…for us, anyway. We had a blast receiving a horse-riding lesson with the good folk at Harmony Hills Equestrian Center. I have a greater appreciation for those four legged friends! Levi and Doc were quite patient with us newbies!

We also took in a gun lesson by a good friend around here. Our first time to shoot a handgun. Actually, several different kinds of handguns. I loved it…and may have gotten the “bug”. Thank God for our nation’s second amendment!

So…horses and guns. How appropriate for this fella who was raised in Ft. Worth, Texas!

As mentioned in Post #1, our house is for sale and I am looking for a place of employment. Had a couple of lookers at our house yesterday …but no offers. Resumes are circulating…but no interviews. Through it all, I continue to put my trust in HIM. Lots of friends are praying for us (We would welcome your prayers, too!) and I am confident that the unseen wheels of HIS plan are turning. All will happen in HIS perfect timing.

Later!

  1. Boy Oh Boy, shooting guns and riding horses, I wish I could have shared that day with the two of you….I am glad I found this blog….I am very interested in how you both are doing…..my heart for Katha and You, Craig was much closer in the Lord to you than I anticipated…..you both always treated me with love, kindness and respect and most importanly as your brother in the Lord, for that I will always remember and thank our Lord for His kindness in sharing our “paths” as we journey through this wilderness…..enjoy the blessings of God’s creation and your family…and He does have wonderful amazing gifts and glory in store for us all as we endure to the end….What A Day That Will Be……looking forward to the next “adventure”…..

  3. Hi Guys,
I confess that I don’t know why you guy have stepped out on faith, but I’ve known you to always want to be and do what the Lord wants.
It sounds like you have a good ‘network’ of friends and family for support.
The best advice I can give you is to keep putting the Lord in all areas of your lives; “Your All I Need.” Please be discerning at this time; I’ve seen too much of ‘pick and choose’ by whom I think are ‘brothers and sisters’ elevating some favorite viewpoints: (1.) Feel Good All Over the Body Praise-ology, (2.) Prosperity and Health-God’s guarantees it.’ (2.) ‘God is Love’ to sexual orientation, same-sex relations, (3.) The Second Amendment is as sacred as Scripture,
My Apologies for making a long statement here, yet I thought that this would be some ‘reminding’ of things we are familiar with. Of course, may the Lord be With, Guide, and Bless you in all your
    Hopes and Endeavors.

    1. Marc,

So great to hear from you! God revealed to us it was time to leave our former church. Nothing bad happened…just clear for many reasons. One thing – we want to be more available to our kids and grandkids so trusting the Lord to open a situation someplace conducive. Thank you for the advice! Please pray for our discernment and direction! We are completely dependent on Him!
