Brrrrrrrrrrrr

This has been a cold week!

It’s this kind of temp that proves the strength of one’s car battery. Mine flunked the test…and is being replaced with a new, dependable version. And as I look around me, the leaves haven’t even fallen from all the trees. Katha and I are looking forward to visiting with family for a few days over Thanksgiving. It ought to feel a bit more comfortable in Virginia Beach!

The weather can be quite varied around SW Virginia. Of course, one thing we have enjoyed about living in Virginia are the four seasons. In Texas we only experienced two seasons: hot and cold.

But no matter what’s going on in the weather world around us, God is consistently warm on the inside. These days have reminded me of the hymn that speaks of Jesus being “Sunshine in my soul.”

I am very grateful to God for His patience with my inconsistencies…and most thankful for His willingness to forgive as per 1 John 1:9.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
