It has been nearly eight months since our final Sunday at GraceLife Baptist Church.
One purpose of this blog has been to help communicate our progress through this transition for those who may be interested.
As of this morning, Christmas Eve, we just signed a contract on the sale of our house…which is an answer to one of the two “anchor” prayers we have had from the beginning. We have been asking God to (1) bring a buyer for our house, and (2) provide me a job. We’re halfway there!
Job possibilities are still floating around but no offers. However, it will come.
During these Christmas holidays, Katha and I have enjoyed visiting our family in the Hampton Roads area. Right now I am in Suffolk sitting at the kitchen table of our cousin’s house which overlooks the James River. Usually from here we can see across the river to the beautiful landscape of the other side. But today there is quite a bit of fog on the river so I can barely see past our own bank.
It’s sort of like our current life situation. We can’t see “down the road” but the fog will lift one of these days and we will be able to see the landscape clearly. Until then, we take one step at a time as in Steven Curtis Chapman’s song, “Take Another Step”:

Woohoo!! One step closer!
