Are we there yet?

I have always enjoyed traveling.

DallasFor many years I led youth choirs on tours to various places around the country. The planning would start with a particular place as the “anchor” destination then we scheduled stops along the way. Most stops included opportunities to sing our gospel music in churches, nursing homes, parks, etc…anywhere we could find a willing audience.

The trips were always full of fun and laughter along with the serious presentation of the message. Though we would be in different locales along the way, it was the anticipation of the ultimate destination that gave the journey joy and delight.

Life is sort of like one really huge choir tour. The ultimate destination of this tour is HEAVEN with numerous stops along the way. But no matter where we stay for a while, it is the anticipation of the ultimate destination that gives the journey joy and delight.

Through the years I have enjoyed serving local churches in the areas of music and worship. It has been a great ride! Currently, I have the privilege of serving with the good people of West Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. It is a terrific church family where God is doing a unique and powerful work.
