Here we go!

After a year of waiting on the Lord, He is moving Katha and me to Virginia Beach.

RegentI will join the Enrollment Management team of Regent University where many gifted and talented young people are preparing their lives to make a significant impact on the world for Christ.

I have learned MUCH through these days of transitioning from one career to another, including:
God is in control of all things.
God’s timing is perfect.
At times when God is silent, He is still at work “behind the scenes.”
Even in the “parentheses” of my life God wants to use me to touch people for Him.
Enjoy the times of rest while I have it!

Had it not been for this time of transition I would not have been able to develop my joy of writing. Sharing my heart through this blog has been a new but great thing for me. (Sorry there have been extended times of inactivity along the way.) My journaling has been deeper and my walk with Him has been closer.

And in April will be the release of my first childrens picture book called Jump Ship Jonah. It is a fun retelling of this colorful Bible character using singsong rhythms of meter and rhyme. And Caleb’s wife, Rachel, is doing the illustrations in beautiful water color paintings. I will keep you posted on the book’s progress.

God is in the business of doing new things. He is never going to just sit still complacently. What new thing is He doing in your life?

“Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
  See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
Isaiah 43:18-19
