Jump Ship Jonah

I am grateful for the current release of my first children’s picture book, JUMP SHIP JONAH!

Front cover

“Jonah” is a retelling of the colorful Bible character who had a hard time with obedience. After being tossed off a ship, swallowed by a whale for three days before being thrown up on shore, he finally submitted to the Lord’s direction to preach to the city of Nineveh.

Told in a sort of fun rhyme time poetic style, it tells the story in a way that appeals to children 3+. My daughter-in-law, Rachel, did the beautiful watercolor illustrations for the book that really enhance the “kid friendliness” of the story.

At the back of the book are ten lessons to be learned from Jonah’s adventure that are terrific discussion starters for people of all ages.
