Believe in miracles?

In January I wrote about my diagnosis of Meniere’s Disease.

My Meniere’s started with severe vertigo, vomiting and nausea. It was awful. I did some research through Google and Youtube and found many people who have struggled with the nightmare of Meniere’s for years. There is no cure. Once contracted, it lasts the rest of your life.

Then a few weeks ago I had an appointment with another ENT doctor. His words were, “You don’t have Meniere’s Disease. Your problems stemmed from a viral infection in your inner ear that affected your loss of hearing and balance. When the virus left, bruising remained and has been causing these later episodes.” My response was, “Huh?”

Miracle

Since the time I was diagnosed with Meniere’s, I knew there were many friends and family members who were praying for me. Little did I know that God was up to something!

I had never experienced a dramatic healing in my 64 years.

Was this divine intervention/healing? I have a lot of questions about how the Holy Spirit works today. I believe God CAN do ANYTHING He chooses! He is sovereign and can certainly work in bigger ways than I sometimes give Him credit for.

At this morning’s follow-up appointment with the ENT my hearing had been completed restored and I have gone three weeks without an episode.

Have I experienced a miraculous healing? It’s like the blind man that Jesus healed in the Bible. When asked what happened, he replied, “All I know is that once I was blind but now I see!”

Once I had Meniere’s Disease and now I don’t. Do you believe in miracles?

  3. My friend and brother in Christ,
I rejoice in your ‘good news’ – not because it confirms anything that I may or may not believe about Jesus and his healing ability. But in the fact that you are ‘good’ at this moment in life. I truly believe God can and will do as He pleases, but Jesus loves His Church and for those that have total faith in Him his will is to relieve us of suffering. So Praise God – Thank you Jesus for your move in our lives. Thank you Jesus for the gift of Salvation and the Mercy you provide. Thank you Jesus for our Healing of sin and shame and of our complete bodily healing here now and to come. Praise God. Hallelujah. Praise Jesus. Love to you and your family Craig. Enjoy your ‘healing’ from now as long as God wills it.
