Toy Story

One of my favorite movies is Toy Story. In fact, I love the entire series! I confess to having tears in my eyes during Toy Story 3.

Of course, one of my favorite characters is Woody because of his leadership style along with his magnetic personality. I think he and Buzz Lightyear make for a truly dynamic duo among their peers.

The owner of all the toys is a boy named Andy. Andy’s name is even written on the bottom of Woody’s right boot – removing any doubt of ownership. Andy loves his toys and especially Woody who has been with him from the beginning.

It reminds me of how my Owner has written my name in a place that shows I belong to Him…in the Lamb’s Book of Life. He will always take care of me, provide for me and claim me. Not because of who I am but because of who He is. Those who put their trust in His care will never be let go.

One reason for the watery eyes in Toy Story 3 is because Andy grows up and gives his toys to another child to enjoy. That is certainly a very human thing to do. But God will NEVER give me away. I am His forever, “to infinity and beyond!”
