Well…we have finally moved into our new place.
Last weekend, Katha and I moved from one place in Virginia Beach to another within the same zip code. It wasn’t far…only four miles…but still required all the energy/logistics of a major relocation process.
We really like our new place and look forward to our days there. However, in the process of the move we lost a few things: Apple TV box, DVD remote, etc.
I am reminded of lost things that are mentioned in the 15th chapter of Luke. There was a lost sheep, lost coin and lost son. Of course, these were parables that Jesus was telling to put into perspective the Father’s love in looking for His children.
As a creature, I just don’t have the same “searching tenacity” as the Creator. I am weak but He is strong…and I am so thankful that He NEVER gives up pursuing me…even after I have been found.
As for our lost things, we will continue to search but I have a feeling God will reveal them to us when the time is just right.

I too lost something very valuable when we moved here in February–a lampshade that I had painstakingly written Bible verses in Gregg shorthand! I know, sounds crazy, but it was quite unique. So wherever it may be, guess the Word will go forth, and hopefully, someone will find it–only hope it can be translated. Someday, maybe it will be discovered as a lost scroll lol

I am convinced that God uses lost things. Somebody is being greatly blessed (or will be!) by the love and thought you put into that lampshade!!!
