Yesterday, Katha texted me that she thought she may have had a heart attack. (Let me say upfront that it was NOT a heart attack…but adjusting to new meds. PTL!)
In the process of checking Katha, we went to a local Urgent Care facility which examined her then sent us to the Emergency Room at the nearby hospital for further tests.
At the ER, they did an EKG, took blood for tests and took a chest x-ray then we waited…and waited…and waited. The ER was a busy place yesterday afternoon/evening.
While waiting, I realized that our churches resemble a hospital Emergency Room. Many wounded, hurting people showing up who need help…REAL help…not just a Band-aid quick fix. These people had serious issues and needed serious attention.
Of course, the prescription for life’s problems can be found in God’s Word which addresses every problem we can/will face in this life. As the Great Physician, God can bring the healing we need. It may not be a “quick fix” but His touch can make a life-changing difference.
God, when I am in church next Sunday, give me Your eyes to see the wounded hearts around me and use me to point them to You and Your healing.

So glad it was NOT a heart attack–goodness me. Best to you two.
