The tagline of this blog site has been “Walking Through Transition” as a way of communicating Katha’s and my journey over the past three years.
Last week, I had the privilege of hearing Max Lucado speak in our school’s Chapel service. His subject concerned dealing with anxiety. A comment he made within his message was, “If you have a pulse, you have a problem you are dealing with.” In other words, if you are alive you are certain to be dealing with an issue you regard as a problem. And problems can cause anxiety.
I would like to tweak Max’s statement a bit. I would say, “If you have a pulse, you are walking through transition.” Everybody is working through some type of transition. It may concern a relationship, job, school work, spiritual growth, relocation, personal challenge, etc. but it involves a process of moving from point A to point B.
Walking through one transition isn’t too bad. For me, it seems that entering multiple transitions is when my Maalox bottle has to be replenished.
A key verse from God’s Word about dealing with anxiety is found in 1 Peter 5:7…
“…casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
I must remember that God cares for me and wants the best for me. He can handle any situation. And after casting my bag of anxieties on Him, not to take it back!

Yes, very timely for me at the moment.
