“Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes
and some for common use?” Romans 9:21

For the past several years, this verse has fascinated me. It reinforces the fact that God is sovereign. He has purpose in everything He created…even in me and you.
Can you imagine newly formed clay saying to the potter, “But I don’t want to be a candlestick holder. Make me into a king’s goblet.” Absurd! The pottery functions at the will of the potter.
God formed each of us for a specific role in His plan. Maybe you don’t agree with Him but He is still the Potter. We cannot talk back to Him with complaints about our looks, gender, financial status, health, etc.
Remember this…God loves you just the way you are!
He made you a certain way for a certain purpose. He has given you gifts and talents to accomplish what He has planned.
Ever heard the story of the little Cracked Pot? If not, Google it. There is a terrific moral in the story that applies here.
Though made perfect in the hands of the master Potter, we can allow our “pots” to crack and think of ourselves as useless. Not so. Even with our flaws God can accomplish all He desires…even from a cracked pot.
Yes, we each have a purpose. I’m doing a Bible study entitled “Redefined,” and finding out more about the Author (Potter) and His desire to mend/mold us for that purpose. But oh, how Satan uses those “cracks” to keep our focus away from Christ.

Yes, Satan will do everything he can to pull us away from HIS plan! I’ll have to check into “Redefined”. Sounds like a great study!
